Country Cottage Reno

This project was a ton of fun, but took a lot of planning and connecting of the dots to combine an under-sized hallway and awkward office into this charming country day room. 

After taking out the wall and adding 6 new recessed lights, it was time to start feathering in the new with the old hardwood floors, as well as a custom built, wider, step to the room.  The wanescotting and chair rail add a distinctive country feel to what used to be plain painted walls. 

The cubby lockers are both finished with wanescotting, with each bench seat coming from the same 12 ft. long slab of oak.  The clients were so pleased with the bench seats that they had me craft for them a coffee table that will fit nicely with the couch that will add even more comfort to this country style day room.
