Custom Man Cave
Believe it or not, this basement was nothing but cinder block walls with a stream of water trickling over the boulders, which 60% of this house are built on. We took care of the water leak and came up with a design that incorporated the boulders into a natural looking dry stack wall to serve not only as a base for the custom benches, but a rather attractive pedestal for the custom wine rack. Concrete floors were leveled and topped with a water resistant floating floor. Newly framed walls are covered with an antiqued 1/2 brick and trimmed out with custom stained rough cut wood. Ceilings were sprayed flat black, which helped maintain ceiling height. The half-bathroom is finished off in cedar tongue and groove neatly scribed up against the ever present boulders, which add a little more charm to the very customized basement remodel.
